Lea Patterson
Lea Patterson co-chairs the Environment Sustainability Group at CAM-I
Lea Patterson studied electronics and computer engineering at the Queensland University of Technology and started his career as a Weapons Electrical Engineering Officer in the Royal Australian Navy. He left the navy to join a consulting firm in 1999 that would go on to be Pilbara Group. Pilbara Group’s area of expertise is the development of large-scale complex cost models for military, oil/gas, government, financial services and currently have a focus on Higher Education. Pilbara Group have developed their own Software as a Service solution, Pilbara Insights, that can be used for very large and complex cost, revenue and recently environmental models.
Jim Holman
Jim Holman chairs the Supply Chain Management Group at CAM-I
A Director within Cherry Bekaert’s Digital Advisory Group, Jim has more than 25 years of experience advising clients in digital transformation, IT strategy, optimization, manufacturing and distribution, and analytical reporting. Jim’s operational and technical expertise enables him to re-engineer business processes and deliver reliable solutions that blend the best technology and processes for meeting clients’ needs.
His expertise within the industrial sector includes manufacturing and distribution technology, business intelligence, shop floor data collection, and mobile solutions. Jim has assisted industrial clients with a diverse range of manufacturing environments such as discrete make-to-stock (MTS), make-to-order (MTO), engineer-to-order (ETO), specialty chemical batch process, food and beverage, and consumer goods. Jim’s guidance also extends to the infrastructure requirements that run multiple enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, using cloud-based and on-premises solutions.
Jim has a strong background in merger and acquisitions activities to include IT due diligence engagements, IT/ systems divesture projects and IT post-merger integration projects.
Before joining Chery Bekaert, Jim worked for a boutique consulting firm, as an IT director at a Fortune 500 specialty chemical company, and as a senior information technologist specializing in Microsoft Dynamics implementations
Bob Misch
Bob Misch chairs the CAM-I Value, Cost and Profitability Management Special Interest Group.
Bob Misch is a Director in Cherry Bekaert’s Digital Advisory Practice. He has more than 25 years’ experience in leading cross-functional teams, helping clients maximize the use of cost and performance information to improve program management and business processes.
Bob has served clients from across government, including every Branch in DoD, along with the Office of the Secretary of Defense and Defense Agencies, the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Veterans Affairs, the Department of the Interior, the International Monetary Fund, the Department of the Treasury, and the Intelligence Community. He is a recipient of CAM-I’s Robert A. Bonsack award for distinguished contribution in the advancement of cost & performance management. A graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, he served on active duty as a Navy Supply Corps Officer
Bob’s experience includes:
- Implementation of Activity-Based Cost (ABC) model at the Federal Protective Service, which included an assessment of fee structure alternatives; consolidation and analysis of operational and financial data sets; and incorporation of budget, revenue, workload, capacity, and performance into the management framework.
- Budget and Performance Integration requirements at the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA), to include: 1) strategic planning, 2) activity based costing, 3) performance management, 4) business process re-engineering, 5) organizational analysis, 6) internal controls, and 7) program analysis
- Integrated Budgeting, Management Information, and Performance Management infrastructure at the International Monetary Fund (IMF), capable of providing collaborative budgeting, timely and accurate information in response to queries from all levels, as well as performance indicators and a hierarchy of Fund Primary Outputs and Activities. Led the cost/benefit and net-present-value analysis for software investments.
- Responsible for implementing business initiatives and improving business practices to achieve end-to-end capabilities in the most economical manner for the US Marine Corps Business Enterprise Office.
- Responsible for building a costing model, creating process flows, and conducting analyses for five business units and seventy-one processes performed by the Chief Adminstrative Officer (CAO) of the U.S House of Representatives in support of 10,000+ House Members and their staffs.
